This week’s Wednesday Wisdom comes from Gretchen Rubin’s book Better Than Before and helps with not throwing a whole day away because of a bad morning/afternoon.

Instead of feeling that you’ve blown the day and thinking, “I’ll get back on track tomorrow,” try thinking of each day as a set of four quarters:

  1. Morning
  2. Midday
  3. Afternoon
  4. Evening

If you blow one quarter, get back on track for the next quarter.

Fail small, not big.
